Here Comes the Pain! Top 5 Moments from Smackdown

Here Comes the Pain! Top 5 Moments from Smackdown

It’s time for another spine-shattering edition of “Here Comes the Pain,” exclusively at www.Cheap-Heat.com! My name is Mark Adam Haggerty and I’m back again, looking to BREAKDOWN this week’s SMACKDOWN! We’re about halfway between pay per-views with the WWE Network’s Madison Square Garden show scheduled for this Saturday. What’s going down on the second-longest running program in WWE history? Let’s kick things off with the fifth most exciting moment from this week’s episode.

5. Super-heroic Superstars
This was a really fun-and-fast paced way to kick things off. Neville teamed with the Lucha Dragons to once-again battle Stardust and the Ascension. Neville was in control of most of the match, but was rocked by a “Michinoku-Driver” from the top rope by Viktor. This was the quickest-paced bout on the card, and despite massive-double team efforts by the villains, the heroes emerged victorious. Kalisto hit the “Salida del Sol” on Konnor to earn the 1-2-3.

4. Team B.A.D. versus Team Bella
It’s great to see Team B.A.D. featured tonight, as the Diva’s Division seems to have been dedicated to Team P.C.B for the past two weeks. While I’ve been yearning for more of the Boss, I can appreciate how the WWE is treating Sasha Banks. She’s an attraction like Brock Lesnar; when Sasha enters the arena, the fans go wild and they hit their feet the second she enters the squared-circle. The WWE is also doing their best to protect the former NXT Women’s Champion. I can’t recall too many losses absorbed by the Boss since being called up. Sasha defeats Team Bella on behalf of her team using the Bank Statement—forcing the former Diva’s Champion, Nikki Bella, to tap.

3. Ryback’s Rematch Against Kevin Owens
Ryback isn’t the best in-ring competitor, but his ability to hang with the likes of Kevin Owens and other world-renowned wrestlers has gone greatly overlooked. Tonight the Big Guy gets his shot at regaining the coveted intercontinental title he lost to Kevin Owens at Night of Champions. Ryback is oftentimes compared to Bill Goldberg, but he’s much more akin to an Ultimate Warrior. Especially in this current IC storyline. Kevin Owens is a consummate wrestling heel, unwilling to come off as “cool” in any way. He purposefully gets himself counted out to retain his title, and then takes his licks from the angry Ryback.

2. Roman Challenges Bray Wyatt to Hell in a Cell
Is Hell in a Cell turning into Lethal Lockdown? The Undertaker is set to take on Brock Lesnar inside the ‘Cell, and I assumed Seth would defend his title in the ‘Cell as well. And now Roman is challenging Bray Wyatt to the same match? Perhaps Seth and Kane will do something else, but I say go the extra mile and just put EVERY match inside the ‘Cell. Fuck it, right? There are 12 pay per-views and at least as many more ‘Network specials throughout the year, let’s just go for broke and see what happens.

1. Kane & the Dudleyz versus Seth & the New Day
Smackdown’s main event is—get your jokes ready—a tag team match! The Dudley Boyz teamed with John Cena on Monday, but tonight they’re standing alongside their Attitude Era brother, Kane. The New Day are looking for further retribution against the Dudleyz, and Seth Rollins looks to put Kane away for good. The Dudleyz got the win for their team when Bubba pinned Kofi Kingston, but the Demon Kane wasn’t done. He reentered the ring and laid everyone to waste, including his partners Bubba and D’Von.
