Doesn’t it look like Roman is in LOVE with Dean Ambrose in the photo above? I think that’s really sweet. Anyway. It's time for another video clip countdown brought to you by B+ Player Radio and Mark Adam—I said MARK ADAM —Haggerty. How's it going guys? Welcome to "Here Comes the Pain: The Top 5 Videos from Smackdown ." Last night's edition of "BLUE RAW , " as I've come to call it, was exceptionally well balanced, featuring high octane in-ring action and storylines that move the WWE Universe forward and closer to TLC in just over a week. Let's begin things this week with number four on our list. Ha! Just kidding. How much sense would that make? I suppose it's always best to begin with the Number Five Video from Smackdown …
5. A New Day for the Roman Empire
With Roman Reigns set to do battle in the main event against the entirety of the
League of Nations
, his best friend and cousins are forced to contend with the
court jesters
of Sheamus's championship dictatorship. The New Day are highly impressive in their match with Dean Ambrose and the Usos, even when put up to a bar set by the New Day themselves. The tag team champions get the fall in a hard-fought six-man collision that you've got to see to understand.
4. D'Von Testifies to Bray Wyatt
While it was probably my least favorite match of the night—perhaps even the
week
—D'Von Dudley's match against the
Eater of Worlds
Bray Wyatt proved to be entertaining in a myriad of various ways. The post-match altercation wherein Bray and his
Wyatt Family
vanquished the Dudleyz and Tommy Dreamer was most certainly worth watching. If things continue to heat up going into
WrestleMania,
maybe we'll get a
fourth ECW Original
to make things even. Someone that's
suicidal and homicidal
? Someone that's
one of a kind
? Your guess is as good as mine.
3. An Uggo Meets Gravity
It was great seeing both Tyler Breeze and Adrian Neville engaged in action opposite a new opponent. Granted Tyler and Adrian wrestled for the
NXT Championship
a time or two, but this is their first one-on-one on main roster television. Their match was the most varied and fast-paced bout on the entire
Smackdown
card—ending with an
"Unprettier
" by Tyler Breeze. Does the super-fan in anybody secretly wish to see
Christian
reemerge as a manager to Breeze? Maybe the
"King of Cuteville
" is too focused on his looks, thus needing someone such as
"Captain Charisma"
to lead him in the right direction.
2. Team CB in Trouble?
Brie Bella had an
"almost impressive
" match on
Monday Night Raw
against former NXT Women's Champion Sasha Banks. Unfortunately Brie lost the contest—just as Becky Lynch lost
her
match against WWE
Diva's
Champion Charlotte. Tonight the runner-ups are in singles' action as Becky looks to unleash a week's worth of rage on an unsuspecting Brie Bella. Surprisingly, Brie
wins
this match—albeit by disqualification—when Charlotte storms the squared-circle in defense of her friend Becky.
1. Four-on-One Handicap Match
I'm not a huge fan of handicap matches. I don't think I'm stepping out on a limb by declaring that. Who wants to see four guys beat up on one helpless dude? But somehow this week's main event was extremely entertaining and thus
astoundingly
watchable. Roman Reigns has been presented in the past as a
Superman-
type character who's not fazed by the perils of everyday competition. But tonight the almighty second generation
5-minute
world champion is at the mercy of four highly talented main event competitors. Roman's strength has always been his resilience, but how can the leader of the
Roman Empire
make it out unscathed when faced with such insurmountable obstacles?
